N.R.S. 295.035 - Petition for initiative proposing amendment to Constitution: Secretary of State to use same number for identification of petition when submitted at successive elections

This section provides the process for the petition for initiative proposing an amendment to the Constitution.

Statute

If the initiative petition proposes an amendment to the Constitution, in resubmitting the initiative to the voters, the Secretary of State shall use the same identifying number or other identification used for the first submission.

Definition [State]

A state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Art. 19, section 3 (cf. Nev. Art. 19, section 5, as amended 1962), declares the provisions of the section self-executing.
