N.R.S. 298.089 - Uniformity of application and construction

Overview of Statute

This section provides for uniformity of application and construction for the Uniform Faithful Presidential Electors Act.

Statute

In applying and construing the provisions of NRS 298.005 to 298.089, inclusive, consideration must be given to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to its subject matter among states that have enacted the Uniform Faithful Presidential Electors Act.

Definition [State]

A state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Definition [Elector]

A person who is eligible to vote under the provisions of Section 1 of Article 2 of the Constitution of the State of Nevada.
