N.R.S. 293C.3032 – City clerks authorized to establish polling places as vote centers where eligible voters in city may vote on election day

Statute

1. A city clerk may establish one or more polling places in the city where any person entitled to vote in the city by personal appearance may do so on the day of the primary city election or general city election.

2. Any person entitled to vote in the city by personal appearance may do so at any polling place established pursuant to subsection 1.

Definition [General city election]

An election held pursuant to NRS 293C.115293C.140 or 293C.145. The term includes a general municipal election held pursuant to the provisions of a special charter of an incorporated city.

An election held pursuant to NRS 293C.115 or 293C.175. The term includes a primary municipal election held pursuant to the provisions of a special charter of an incorporated city.

Definition [Clerk]

The election board officer designated or assigned to make the record of the election in the roster, tally list and challenge list in the precinct, district or polling place in which such officer is appointed.

Definition [Person]

1.  A natural person;

2.  Any form of business or social organization;

3.  Any nongovernmental legal entity, including, without limitation, a corporation, partnership, association, trust, unincorporated organization, labor union, committee for political action, political party and committee sponsored by a political party; or

4.  A government, governmental agency or political subdivision of a government.
