N.R.S. 293.918 – Unlawful to disclose confidential information that will create substantial risk of bodily harm

Overview of Statute

This section prohibits illegal disclosure of confidential information about a person listed in NRS 293.908.

Statute

If a person discloses confidential information about a person listed in NRS 293.908 in violation of NRS 293.900 to 293.914, inclusive, and the person who makes the disclosure knows or reasonably should know that such disclosure will create a substantial risk of bodily harm to the person about whom the information pertains, the person who makes the disclosure is guilty of a misdemeanor.

Definition [Person]

1.  A natural person;

2.  Any form of business or social organization;

3.  Any nongovernmental legal entity, including, without limitation, a corporation, partnership, association, trust, unincorporated organization, labor union, committee for political action, political party and committee sponsored by a political party; or

4.  A government, governmental agency or political subdivision of a government.
