N.R.S. 293.914 – Denial of request for confidential information

Overview of Statute

This section allows the the Secretary of State or a county or city clerk to deny requests for confidential information if they believe it will be used in an unauthorized manner.

Statute

Except for a request from a governmental entity pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of NRS 293.912 or in response to an order of a federal or state court pursuant to paragraph (b) of subsection 1 of NRS 293.912, the Secretary of State or a county or city clerk may deny a request for confidential information if the Secretary of State or the county or city clerk reasonably believes that the information may be used in an unauthorized manner.

The election board officer designated or assigned to make the record of the election in the roster, tally list and challenge list in the precinct, district or polling place in which such officer is appointed.
