This section prohibits the alteration, defacement or removal of posted results of votes cast.
Statute
Any person who, prior to the expiration of 48 hours following the closing of the polls, alters, defaces, removes or destroys the copy of the results of votes cast posted outside a polling place is guilty of a gross misdemeanor. Notice of such penalty shall be printed on the copy posted.

1. Definition for Person
1. A natural person;
2. Any form of business or social organization;
3. Any nongovernmental legal entity, including, without limitation, a corporation, partnership, association, trust, unincorporated organization, labor union, committee for political action, political party and committee sponsored by a political party; or
4. A government, governmental agency or political subdivision of a government.
